Little Black Dress - 'The Ultimate LBD - Long' (*)

Everyone has an Little Black Dress hanging in their wardrobe but for me I've never owned a maxi style LBD... until now!

This stunning number is from the Manchester based brand which I've previously featured on my blog before. They sell a huge range of dresses from your classic evening dress to unique cocktail wear to vintage style flapper dresses. If you're looking for something special for a party, evening, wedding, prom, the races or even holiday they have a section for everything and they're not all black too! I have a couple weddings coming up this year and I've already been eyeing up a couple dresses to try from their Wedding Guest section!

The dress I'm wearing is 'The Ultimate LBD - Long' style dress which has a classic shape, glamorous length and is a timeless piece. The material itself is made from luxuriously soft jersey fabric with a light stretch, supported underlining and a sexy thigh high split. The fit is true to size and very flattering with its loose drape material which you can adjust to suit as well as the twisted one shoulder design which you can also adapt to fit.

I was kindly given the opportunity by Little Black Dress to chose my favourite piece from their new collection, style it out and share it with you guys. But as well as this I've teamed up with Little Black Dress to give YOU the opportunity to WIN 'The Ultimate LBD - Long' style dress.

Nip & Fab Bust Fix (*)
Nip & Fab Body Slim Fix (*)
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Dry Oil

We all know there’s no product in the world that can slim, trim or tone overnight but there are products out there that can make you feel confident in just a couple minutes. Whether that’s fake tan, oils, butters, lotions or potions, the skincare isle is over stocked with brands claiming this, that and the other. But some of these products can have a quick fix effect that can give you body confidence and I’ve given some popular ones a try.

Nip & Fab Bust Fix
The Nip & Fab Bust Fix is a body serum that stimulates the formation of naturally occurring fat cells in the breasts to plumps, smoothes and firms the skin. The gel looks a similar to shampoo with a glossy appearance. It is a light serum with a medium consistency that is non sticky on application. It contains an ingredient called Mangosteen which Is an essential elasticity booster. To apply the product it is advised to massage it into the skin (this product can also be used on the lower neckline to reduce wrinkles) in which it sinks in quite quickly. The product for me left my skin feeling smooth, supple and my cleavage feeling ever so lightly 'plumper'! The product does claim that after 4 weeks of use day and night it can enhance cleavage however I haven’t been using it religiously enough to comment and to be honest don’t really need help in that area! However over all it’s a great product for those who want an instant ‘up lifted’ feeling that will boost confidence in any bikini top.

Nip & Fab Body Slim Fix
The Nip & Fab Body Slim Fix is a daily toning moisturiser that is ideal for post-workout or after a hot shower. This is because the caffeine extract contained in the formulation can penetrate deeper into the layers of tissue to create a firmer appearance. The product itself has a thick formulation that is quickly absorbed into the skin. The scent is very similar to Aqueous Cream or even Sudocrem which isn't too pungent. I don’t believe the cream will ‘contour’ or ‘sculpt’ the body as suggested but it does leave that tight, toned feeling to the skin that again feels incredibly soft and smooth. For me i found it worked more like an intense body moisturiser with that extra ingredient to make your skin feel toned without any sticky residue. But again a great product to give you a confidence boost in just minutes after application.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Dry Oil
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Dry Oil is a firm favourite in the bloggersphere; It is a lightweight body oil that adds a hint of summer bronze to the skin with a touch of golden shimmer. The product itself is a liquid oil that you apply to the skin just like a moisturiser and dries instantly leaving a non-greasy finish. The light bronze shimmer appearance creates a healthy appearance and enhances natural tan whilst hydrating the skin. What I really love about this product is the beautiful rich perfumed scent! The only downside to this little bottle of liquid gold is the glitter particles can ever so slightly rub off onto clothing but if you’re wearing a bikini who cares? I love using this product on my legs to create that ultimate celebrity sheen.

Whats New To My Makeup Bag?
Other Products Used: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (Vanille Vanille), Max Factor False Lash Mascara, Calvin Klein Matt Lipstick (Sinful), Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade (Dark Brown), W7 Cream Blusher (Blush Baby)

There's been a number of products I've lusted after for a while so after reading reviews and finally hitting pan on my usual products I decided to update my makeup bag with some newbies.

The Body Shop Clear Brow & Lash Gel
I’ve been using The Body Shop Clear Brow & Lash Gel mainly for my brows, it has a light-medium consistency that doesn’t clog the hairs, leaves a matt finish and doesn’t feel ‘crispy’. It’s the type of brow gel that lets the hairs lie naturally with a little helping hand to keep those pesky strays in place. The small, thin brush is a great shape to run through the brows with one quick swipe.

Maybelline Matt Maker Pressed Powder (Light Beige)
When it comes to pressed setting powders I’ve never strayed from the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder which I’ve used since I was about 15 years old. However now and again I like to try out other products to see if I can find a new favourite and I think I’ve found it! The powder itself is very finely milled and the colour match is true to shade. It can be easily built up if you require more coverage or lightly dusted over the face to set makeup in place. I actually prefer this to the Rimmel powder as it doesn’t leave a cakey finish when you’ve accidentally applied a little too much and feels as though it is still letting the skin breath.

Eyeko Felt Tip Skinny Liquid Eye Liner (Black)
I’ve never taken to felt tip liquid liners as the ‘black’ pigment is a little too on the grey side and not very ‘true black’. However I’ve recently taken to a more natural cat flick that’s a little less bold and just helps to thicken the lashes and wing out the eyes. The Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eye Liner is perfect for this with its dense, thin tip that’s easy to apply close to the lashes and create that neat flick.

The Body Shop InstaBlur All-In-One Tinted Concealer/Primer
I cannot rave about this product enough, it sits beautifully, smoothing over the skin and blurring imperfections with a helping hand from the tinted ingredient. It doesn’t dry out the skin or look cakey and makes your skin feel incredibly soft.  The overall look of my foundation or tinted moisturiser is flawless with a matt look that helps to prolong its wear. The only downside to this primer is that I’m biggest fan of the thick mousse like consistency that can be a pain to apply but once you’ve got the technique down to a T you can ignore that.  It’s probably one of the best primers I’ve ever used.

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer (Light)
A product that’s gone a stir crazy in the bloggersphere and I just had to give into the hype to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve heard so many good things about this product but also a handful of bad so I wanted to try it out for myself and I was so impressed! The packaging is great as you can see the product usage and although some people aren’t a fan of the sponge applicator (due to hygiene reasons) it seems no different to me than using a doe foot applicator. The formula itself is a medium- thick consistency with high coverage that highlights under the eyes and erase dark circles. I typically apply the product with the sponge aapplicator and blend using my fingers in which the product doesn’t dry out and sinks beautifully into the skin. I’ve actually found that I’ve started to apply less foundation overall as I tend to blend the concealer outwards to help to cover and contour. I definitely favour this product over the infamous Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer!

The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter
This highlighter is pretty much a dupe for Benefit High Beam or the Nars Copacobana at a lower cost. The tube is huge when you compare it to the amount of product you actually use (I apply around ½ a pea sized amount for both sides of my face). The pink tone blends into the skin beautifully to add a healthy natural glow and shimmer to the tops of the cheek bones, cupids bow, down the nose or under the eye brows. I’ve recently been using this product alongside a bronzer to create a contoured look without the need for blusher!

Sukin: My New Vegan Skincare Regime

I've always been one for cutting corners when it comes to my skin care. If there's a 2 in 1 product that can save me some time but be just as effective I'll try it.

However, fairly recently I've been introduced to a natural Australian skincare brand called Sukin. Their products are formulated using 100% natural botanical extracts such as aloe vera and rosehip oil that are cold pressed, solvent free and vegan friendly.

I had previously been consuming a new health supplement which led to my skin to hugely break out across my mouth and chin area. Luckily I recognised it was down to the cranberry extract contained in the supplement and stopped taking them but unfortunately the breakouts weren't shifting.  So when I was kindly sent 3 out of 4 of these products to review I immediately starting using them in hope the natural ingredients would calm my blemishes and gradually clear my skin.

I cannot believe after just 7 days of using the foaming cleanser, toner mist and eye cream (day and night) how much my skin has improved and become impressively smooth and clear . So much so I even went and purchased the moisturiser myself just so I could have a full product facial range as I've been enjoying having a luxury skincare regime so much recently!

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser (*)
The scent of these products are beautiful, a light, natural and fresh plant like scent that awakens the skin. A little goes a long way with the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser, half of a pump is enough combined with water to turn the clear gel into a foaming facial lava. I massage this into my skin for around 1 minute before rinsing with water and dabbing dry. The cleanser contains calming chamomile, aloe vera, witch hazel and green tea with macadamia and evening primrose oils to leave your skin feeling clean, fresh and unlike most other cleansers hydrated!

Sukin Antioxidant Eye Cream (*)
I've honestly never been one to bother with eye creams as the results aren't instant so I always thought why bother? However the Sukin Antioxidant Eye Cream is very different. A pea sized amount of the thick cream to gel is enough for under and around both eyes (I've actually been applying the cream a little lower on the eye area aswell) using the dabbing technique. The cream itself contains soothing aloe vera, cucumber and burdock to offer rehydration to the delicate eye area and reduce puffiness. However I've noticed that the biggest different from the rose hip, evening primrose and borage oils that have helped to improve the texture of my under eye area.

Sukin Hydrating Toner (*)
This has to be easiest and quickest application of a skincare product in the Sukin range. A hydrating toner that can be applied with just a couple sprays. The application itself has a wide disbursement of product that lightly mists the face. Most toning sprays can be a little too direct and you only end up scrunching your face psyching yourself for application, so this product has a huge thumbs up for the best spray application. The product itself contains chamomile and rosewater which help to sooth, tone and awaken tired skin. I have to admit I noticed a huge difference with my skin after using this product. Within a couple days my pores had reduced dramatically (especially either side of my nose) leaving my face looking smooth, glowing and without sounding silly... youthful!

Sukin Facial Moisturiser
The latest product to complete my new and improved skincare regime, the Sukin Facial Moisturiser! A lightweight face cream which contains aloe vera, horsetail, nettle and burdock to sooth the skin whilst rose hip, wheat germ, jojoba and avocado oil promote healthy hydration. Just like all the products I've used a little goes a long way with just half of pump being enough to smooth over the skin creating a moisture locking lava that looks a little like a face mask before you leave it to sink in. This product leave a beautiful protective (non sticky) layer over your skin whilst leaving it feeling supple, smooth and looking healthy with a matt finish.

I seriously cannot speak highly enough of this brand; every product I've used has made a noticeable difference to my skin..So if you're after organic, vegan friendly and incredibly affordable skincare products, go check out Sukin products in your local Holland & Barrett or independent online stockists!

The Buddha Beauty Company Revive Oil (*)

Who doesn't want to have a spa like experience at home? Soaking in a hot bath is pretty darn relaxing but imagine upping your pamper game and turning your bath into an holistic retreat.

I'm forever indulging in bath time products to add that extra special something to help turn a hot bath into a calm, tranquil experience. Whether that be bath bombs, bath soaks, oils, bubbles, hot petals, bath teas or salts; finding that perfect product to create that zen like experience is key.

The latest product I've been trialling is the Buddha Beauty Company Revive Bath Oil.

Buddha Beauty Company are a beauty and health spa based in Chorlton, South Manchester. As well as your typical massage and beauty treatments they also offer a range of exotic spa like skincare products and authentic natural home fragrances. These products are created by Llewelyn Thomas-Wood who's history of travelling and admiration of exotic spa's inspire the ingredients used to create the range of authentic and effective products.

The product itself is a clear, thin oil that has an awakening, fresh essence with notes of citrus and herbs. Upon adding a couple drops to the bath (I'm rather generous with my amounts!) the oil disperses into a cloudy lava and releases what can perfectly be described as a 'therapeutic spa like scent'. The scent is incredibly relaxing although I did find that I needed to add a little more oil than expected to get a stronger fragrance but by shutting the door you can aid in its pungency and increase its intensity.

The product all in all is a beautiful vegan and organic oil that ticks all the boxes for creating a perfect spa like experience at home. The only negative point I can fault with it (which is also personal preference) is I would liked for the oil to also double as a nourishing skin treatment. There's nothing better than soaking in the tub with an incredible scent that once you step out it makes your skin smell amazing and feel beautifully soft. Although this oil works perfect as a bath treatment, once you step out of the tub (aside from that mentally relaxed feeling) it all gets left behind.

The Dressed Up Denim Shirt
Shirt-Topshop, Shoes-NewLook, Skirt-DorothyPerkins, Bag-MissSelfridge, Necklace-Azendi, Bracelet-FolliFollie

That exciting feeling when you're clearing out your wardrobe and you rediscover and old favourite you bought last year and forgot you ever owned.

This cropped washed denim shirt was never off my back last year as I teamed it with maxi dresses, high waist skirts, casual Vans and pretty sandals but after rediscovering it at the back of my wardrobe, this year I've decided to see how I can dress it up!

I teamed it with my favourite leather look peplum skirt from Dorothy Perkins. This skirt is so comfortable with its semi-stretch material and edgy laser cut peplum frill. The only (rather amusing) trouble I have with this body con style skirt is being able to walk at a fast pace. It's figure hugging fit can be a little restrictive when it comes to hurrying off in your heels but all the same I love this skirt to death. Its versatile style adds a touch of edge and glamour to any plain outfit you want to throw at it and its body con fit makes it easy to throw on a loose white tee and still look 'put together'.

Throw on a pair of heels, loosen a couple of buttons, slip on some jewellery and you're good to go!
