Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil from Holland &Barrett

Please welcome the King of facial oils… rosehip.

Ive been using the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil for about a year now (yes im still only on my first bottle… this stuff lasts!) and Ive noticed the biggest change in my skin. Don’t get me wrong I have the odd days where it’s a little drier or little more congested but this little bottle of gold helps to aid all of that.

Rosehip oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes, the actual seed oil is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to reduce rosacea, correct dark spots and hydrate dry, all while reducing scars and fine lines.

As mentioned above the oil contains fatty acids which promote the production of the hormone compounds involved in tissue healing and regrowth. The fatty acids also help to promote cellular development and collagen synthesis, which is what, keeps the skin smooth and supple

I’m a huge fan of natural remedies and organic skin care products, anything that’s labelled botanical or herbal is an instant eye catcher and worth a purchase to trial it out. I’ll admit I’d never heard of Rosehip oil before I ventured onto the Holland and Barrett website, read reviews and immediately did some research onto this ‘miracle oil’.

First little fact I discovered about this oil is that it’s not just for dry skin, in actual fact it works amazingly well on oily skin too. Most people believe if they have oily skin they need to use products that will dry their T-zone and soak up the excessive oil… this isn’t true. Using additional oils on the face helps reduce the natural over-production of oil, so it actually balances out the natural oils in the skin.

The product itself has a yellow tint with a medium consistency and a little goes a long way. Thankfull the Trilogy bottle comes with a handy pippett dispenser so no product is wasted and it also helps you engage in how much you need too apply. The scent unfortunately is dissimilar to roses and is more of a bareable musky smell quite a few people hate but it doesn’t bother me at all.

Rosehip oil is also a great makeup remover, works wonders on brittle nails and also damaged hair. It’s one of those products everyone needs in their bathroom as a multi-use pot of gold.
