I’ve always had a love for lipsticks but it’s only recently (after clearing out my handbag and realising the huge A5 bag of lip products I’m trudging around with me is a little excessive for daily essentials) that I might have a slight obsession with those pucker up products.

Lipsticks and lacquers are my holy grail of ALL makeup products (ok maybe along-side my mineral foundation powder) but they can make such a difference and change a ‘look’ from day-time to night-time and make you feel as fierce or as pretty with just a swipe of colour.

I’ve added all my lipsticks, tints, primers, lacquers, balms, glosses and all that jazz together and I’d say (from what I’ve easily found to hand) I have well over 40 products… at the moment.

But I’ve managed to pull together my Top Picks and throw them into 5 groups; Remarkable Reds, Naked Nudes, Perfect Peaches, Perky Pinks and Extra Essentials.

Perky Pinks
(L-R) Rimmel Apocalips - Apocaliptic / Rimmel Apocalips - Stellar / Rimmel Apocalips - Nova / Rimmel Apocalips - Celestial / Natural Collections – Raspberry

Remarkable Reds
(L-R) Bourjois – Red Sunrise / Bourjois – Rouge Podium / Rimmel Apocalips – Big Bang / Rimmel 107 / Collection 2000 – Revenge

Perfect Peaches
(L-R) Max Factor – Pink Brandy / Bourjois – Orange Pop / Rimmel 030 – Tell No One / Rimmel 279 – Smooch

Naked Nude
(L-R) Bourjois – Rose Tweed / Topshop – Covet / Sleek – Birthday Suite / Rimmel – Luna / Topshop – Nevada / Model.Co – Get Naked

Extra Essentials
The Exfoliator – Majenta Lip Buff (review here)
The Hydrator – Bepanthem
The Stay Put - Lipcote

If I also had to narrow my lip product collection down to the best brands, it would have the been Bourjois for lipsticks as they're amazingly nourishing, highly pigmented and don't dry out the lips!.And then there's the Rimmel Apocalips which I ended up buying them ALL when they first came out as all their shades are incredible and add an instant pop to the lips, with a shine to matt/shine finish.

I go through waves of using the same daily lipstick for a week and then switch it up the next. At the moment the Max Factor in Pink Brandy has to be my ultimate daily pop and go. A hydrating peachy orange/ pink shade that really compliments the skin tone when there's a hint of bronzer involved!
