Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Vanille, Bourjois Happy Light Concealer in Ivoire, Lord & Berry Kohl Eye Liner in Black, Topshop Lip Bullet in Covet, Sleek Eye Brow Kit in Dark Brown, Benefit Their Real Mascara in Black, NARS Bronzer in Laguna, Olay 7 In 1 Day Moisturiser, How Bout Them Apples Cheek Lip Tint in PIE.

I’m one of those people who if asked to go ‘bare faced’ would happily do so however I enjoy the process of applying make-up and that’s why I wear it. We all have products that we use on a daily basis but I regularly switch up the application of my daily make up to create the look I want by applying more or less liner or adding contouring bronzer for example. On the days where I want a bare faced natural look I literally apply (more or less) the same makeup just less of it and use it more as an enhancer tool.

When it comes to the base I’ve more recently been using the Beautiful Movements Mineral Powder Foundation which builds coverage incredibly well however this time I wanted to create a dewy finish that had a more glowy appearance on the skin. For this I mixed the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in shade No52 Vanille Vanille and mixed it with my current moisturiser, this being Olay 7 in 1 (basically creating a tinted moisturiser).  To apply this I used my fingers rather than a buffing brush as it wanted a sheer natural coverage. As part of my base I also used the Bourjois Happy Light Concealer in No21 Ivoire to brighten the under eyes and highlight the tops of the cheekbones. This product has a creamy moisturising formula with a medium-heavy consistency which (surprisingly) blends into the skin beautifully, hiding those pesky dark circles without looking cakey or dry.

I then applied (one of my favourite bronzers) the NARS Laguna Bronzer lightly to the temple, jaw and under the cheek bones to add definition as well as a healthy glow. The NARS bronzer has tiny reflective particles and buildable coverage which is perfect for light- medium skin tones.

The Sleek Brow Kit in Dark Brown is one of the best eye brow kits I’ve ever used and that rules out higher end kits too. It comes with two brushes, tweezers, a tinted wax and a setting powder. For a natural makeup look I skipped the tinted wax (used to add definition with an angled brush) and just used the powder to ‘fill in the gaps’ where I have sparse areas within my brows.

Moving on to the eyes I use only two products. A kick ass blacker than black kohl pencil from Lord & Berry which sticks around without mirroring/ transferring. I lightly applied a thin line above my top lashes and using my ring finger smudged it across the whole lash line to create thicker lashes and a defined eye.
On my lashes I used the Benefit They’re Real Mascara which is a pretty impressive little mascara! The wand is hard plastic brush with small hedgehog bristles, separating the lashes perfectly whilst adding volume. I’d say it’s a buildable mascara, 1 coat creates natural barely there lashes, 2 coats creates a my lashes but better look and 3 coats creates a dramatic eye!

To round off the look I used a tinted multi-use product from The Balm called ‘How Bout Them Apples’ in the shade PIE. This is such a great product I actually carry it around in my handbag! The product itself (being both a lip and cheek tint) is highly pigmented, leaves the lips with a glossy finish and the cheeks with a healthy pop. As I’d previously applied the bronzer to contour I applied this product to the ‘apples’ of the cheeks only for an up lift effect.

And to finish I used a newly purchased product which also has to be my monthly favourite… the Topshop Lip Bullet in the shade Covet. A neon-nude shade with a pastel finish, it’s very similar to ‘Luna’ from the Rimmel Apolocalips collection. Similar to Luna it is highly pigmented and has a silky feel on the lips with a light-medium glossy finish. It can however be quite thick so I usually apply it to the bottom lip only and shut my lips together to transfer/ spread it evenly.

To create an even more natural look you could use the 'How Bout them Apples' Cheek and Lip Tint to add a blush to the lips!
