Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads RRP £12.99
Recently my skin’s been misbehaving itself and I’ve had a couple break outs here and there. Typically I would whip out my Alpha H Liquid Gold (glycolic acid) and they’d be gone over night. However this month I’ve wanted to purchase more clothing than beauty products and so couldn’t bear to spend (expensive but more it) £30 on a new bottle.
I’ve never tried any of the Nip & Fab range before but had previously spied the Nip & Fab Glycolic Acid Facial Exfoliating Wipes in Superdrug after being distracted by the quirky packaging (Gold star marketing!). Glycolic acid is used to strip the skin of dead skin cells to reveal a new fresh layer underneath. Basically it’s a lazy girl’s way of exfoliating without all the scrubbing, rubbing and patting dry.
The product contains 60 pre-soaked textured pads, saturated in 4% glycolic acid – The Alpha H Liquid Hold contains 5% concentrate so I was pretty happy to snap these up for 1% less concentrate and for less than half the price (£12.99 vs. £30)! The ingredients also contain witch hazel and soothing blue daisy which helps too tone and brighten to skin.
After cleansing the skin and ridding any traces of dirt and makeup, take 1 pre-soaked pad (using the textured end on the skin) gently wipe over the whole face. The great thing about this product as that you don’t need to faff around washing it off, your good to go!
I noticed a big different straight away with this product; my skin was smoother and generally looked more clear and healthy. I’d say the Nip & Fab left my skin in the same great condition as the Alpha H Liquid Gold but for a small price tag. The only difference I did notice between Nip & Fab and Alpha H Liquid Gold is that Alpha H tingles slightly when applied to the skin so it feels as though it’s getting to work where as (lucky for those with sensitive skin or who don’t like the ‘buzzing’ sensation) Nip & Fab doesn't create any sensation and just leaves a fresh feeling after application!
