Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

When it comes to removing my makeup I’ve always opted for products that are quick, easy and fuss free. Anything with multiuse formula is immediately on my purchase list especially if it doesn’t require additional products. I’ve typically used makeup wipes (an apparent beauty sin) to remove my eye makeup, a facial wash and then a form of toner to fully cleanse my skin and even skin tone.

My skin has never been terribly bad but I have dry/combination skin which is a little spontaneous when it comes to breaking out. There for I went in search for a product that would aid in preventing breakouts as well as treating them.

That’s when I stumbled across the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. A plant based formula with active ingredients such as eucalyptus and cocoa butter to sooth the skin and remove stubborn makeup such as mascara.

The product itself is a thick cream, dispensed from a pump-action bottle - ideal for morning or evening cleansing as the formulation offers a concentrated yet gentle removal of makeup and dirt. The cleanser has a light menthol/ tea tree scent that smells uplifting and pretty much like a skin rescue product.

You start by applying it to dry skin in circular motions including over eye area. I typically use one pump, apply to skin and then if I feel as though I need more I'll use another half a pump. You then soak the muslin cloth in warm water, hold it to your face so the heat loosens the makeup and dirt and then remove the product with the cloth.

The cleanser is gentle over the eye area and unlike most other eye product removers does not sting if it comes in contact with the eye. The cleanser delicately cleans the skin and dislodges dead skin cells to reveal a soft, radiant and even skin tone. After removal of the makeup the muslin cloth washes the product straight off so there is no need to keep throwing it in the wash!

I’d even go as far as saying the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is my all-time favourite product for removing makeup and aiding breakouts. Its available in a wide range of sizes and you can even buy a subscription to have a fresh bottle every month!
