Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream - Intensive Lip Repair Balm (*)

I’ve become a big fan of Elizabeth Arden, naming the Double Density Mascara my all-time favourite but I’ve never actually tried their skincare collection. So when I spotted this little pot in the ‘Mid-Summer Meet’ goodie bag I snapped it up as the first thing to try.

The lip balm itself is said to deliver intense moisture to rehydrate dry, chapped lips and has been scientifically proven to strengthen lips delicate moisture barrier.

Unlike most potted balms, this is a thick gel, cream consistency that smells incredible. Its scent is a sweet citric orange with honey undertones to smooth over that tanginess. The product itself contains ingredients such as shea butter, arnica flower (healing oil), honey extract, vitamin e and menthol.

For more intense moisture you can apply this overnight to wake up with super soft lips but I’ve been applying when needed throughout the day. Immediately you can feel the palm tree/ shea butter soothing the lips with a slight tingling sensation from the menthol. The consistency of this product feels as though it’s leaving a layer of protection over the lips along with a subtle gloss.

Without any balm or products my lips are pretty prone to dryness and chapping however this product aided in healing, moisturising and getting my lips back to their soft plump self. It’s a great product to use as a barrier and a small amount tends to go along way!
