The B. makeup range is recently new and exclusive to Superdrug’s shelves. The packaging looks sleek and sophisticated and the prices are pretty reasonable for the high-street. The range itself contains everything from mascara to lipstick to primer to day cream and after hitting pan on my typical mattifying face powder I decided to pick up the B.Set Light/Medium Sheer Finish Pressed Powder (152).
The product itself is the perfect compact size for the handbag and contains a mirror – bonus! Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a powder puff or sponge but to be honest I never use applicators that come with products as I prefer to use a full size brush.
The powder is sheer and used to mattify makeup whilst also setting foundation rather than adding any extra coverage. On application (as per all compact powders) less is more otherwise it leaves that cakey look. The powder blends into the foundation rather than sits on top, letting the skin breath but keeping that matt finish. I’ve worn this powder the whole day without reapplying and it hasn’t flaked nor dried out.
The only negative point I could make about this product (which for me isn’t a negative point at all) is that it doesn’t fully mattifying the makeup. The powder still lets through a breathable subtle glow that looks healthier, natural and less cakey.
